I do science research and product development of generating visually realistic and physically reliable digital contents (e.g. images, videos, and 3D content) through artificial intelligence and first principles. My interests include generative artificial intelligence and computational physics.
I am currently building new initiatives. I was a senior applied scientist at Amazon, working on media generation (e.g. virtual try-on etc.). Before this, I worked on developing the in-house 3D physics engine as a scientist at Tencent Games AI Research Center.
I earned my Ph.D. in Mathematics from UCLA, advised by Joseph Teran, working on computational physics and computer graphics. During my Ph.D. study, I was fortunate to intern at Facebook Reality Labs, Weta Digital and Adobe, working on hand-tracking, James Cameron's Avatar franchise, and perception-aware simulation in VR.
I served as a paper committee member for SIGGRAPH Asia 2023 and 2025, and a collision-of-interest coordinator for SIGGRAPH 2025 and SIGGRAPH Asia 2024. I have been reviewing papers for SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, TOG, TVCG, Eurographics, and Computers & Graphics.
